We are committed to creating art that centers the healing of our communities.
We share stories that put Black, Brown, and Indigenous challenges, joys, and experiences in the middle where they belong—showcasing the nuances of our diverse identities, cultures, and worlds.
What We Do
Our team of creatives develops and produces stories with everyday Black, Brown, and Indigenous folks. Our projects celebrate all of who we are—exploring the extraordinary and ordinary lives we live within our communities.
The stories we share invite folks into healing conversations and offer space to build meaningful relationships and understanding across communities.
To invest in the long-term impact of this work, we also offer creative services to help organizations take an actionable step towards appreciating diversity and setting an inclusive stage where teams feel they belong. We collaborate with businesses to provide a creative outlet for underrepresented folks to show up and communicate authentically at work.
Meet Our Founder
Kendra Valerie Williams
Producer, Creative Director, Storyteller, & Proud Blerd
In the corporate world and in her community, Kendra is equally known for managing complex programs at scale and advocating for people of color’s advancement. Her educational background and deep personal experience in psychology, self-advocacy, and creativity inspired her to create a space for Black, Brown, and Indigenous people to tell their own stories on their own terms.
Kendra created the B&BITM collective to foster growth, healing, and understanding across communities of color. Her approach to storytelling pushes past stereotypes, digging into the layers that make Black and Brown experiences unique. She not only produces this meaningful work, but she also shares her own stories to encourage others to open up and share their truths. Kendra's inspired by artists, musicians, writers, and everyday folks navigating life on the sidelines. Her work is a celebration of their authentic stories.
